Starting and Participating in an Appeal

Starting the Appeal

To request an appeal of a decision, you must complete and file a Notice of Appeal (Form 1).

Responding to a Notice of Appeal

If a regulator or other decision-maker has been served with a Notice of Appeal, it must prepare and file the Record of the Decision-making Process with the Registrar within 15 days from the date of service of the Notice of Appeal.

The regulator or decision-maker can request an extension of the 15 day time limit by advising the Registrar and all parties of its inability to provide the Record and the reasons for the requested extension. The Tribunal may grant or refuse an extension of the time for filing the Record.  For more information, see rule 5.3.
